This document contains Sirius Law, P.L.L.C.’s (“Sirius,” “we” or “us”) Website Privacy Policy (“Policy”) and describes how Sirius collects, uses, and shares your information when you use Sirius’ website, https://www.siriuslawoffice.com/, any of Sirius’s subdomains, and any content, resources, information, functions, products, features, or services offered on or through any of the foregoing (collectively, the “Website”).
Personal Information Sirius Collects. As used in this Policy, the term “Personal Information” includes both Device Information and Provided Information (defined below). The Website automatically collects certain information about your device, including information about your web browser and data usage, IP address, operating system, time zone, Internet service provider, referring/exiting pages, date/time stamps, and some of the cookies that are enabled when you visit the Website. The Website may also collect information about individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Website, information about how you interact with the Website, and aggregate metrics on how often certain subdomains are accessed and viewed. All of this automatically collected information is referred to as “Device Information.” Device Information is collected using the following technologies: data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier (“cookies”); log files that track actions occurring on the Website and collect data; and electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Website (i.e., “Web beacons”, “tags”, “scripts,” and “pixels”). Sirius also collects data you provide to Sirius directly on the Website (“Provided Information”) when you submit information through the Website; make a payment; submit a request for any of our services or information; access links, including those operated by third parties; submit Sirius’ contact form; contact Sirius via email or through the Website; access third party sites through links on the Website; and access other documents and resources made available on the Website. The Provided Information may include: personal identification information (name, address, age, email address, phone number, etc.); billing information (billing address, payment information, including credit card numbers, etc.); business information; and other personal information. If you provide Sirius with information regarding another individual, you represent that you have that person’s consent to provide such information and to permit Sirius to use it in accordance with this Policy.
Use Of Personal Information. Device Information is used to recognize you on the Website and recognize your previously selected preferences, including your preferred language and your location and to collect information about your visit to the Website, the content you viewed, the links you followed, and information about your web browser, device, and IP address. Device Information is also used to help screen for and protect against potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to analyze, improve, and optimize the Website (for example, by generating analytics about how people browse and interact with the Website and evaluating the success of marketing and advertising campaigns). Sirius may sometimes share aspects of Device Information with third parties for advertising purposes. Provided Information is used generally to communicate with you, respond to or evaluate requests submitted through the Website (including processing payment information, delivering services, and providing you with invoices or other information), facilitate and/or personalize your use of the Website, evaluate and use the information for the purposes for which it was provided, improve and protect Sirius’ properties, processes and procedures, internal record keeping, when in line with any preferences you have shared with the Website, provide you with information or advertising relating to Sirius’ services, and comply with applicable laws and legal obligations.
Communications. If you make a payment on or through the Website or an external link on the Website and/or opt in or request to receive emails or communications, you agree to receive email communications from the Website, including but not limited to newsletters, site updates, and other announcements and correspondence. Sirius may use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications that may be of interest to you. You are responsible for ensuring that Sirius email address(es) are not blocked or forwarded to your spam folder. If you opt to unsubscribe from receiving emails, you understand that you may no longer receive information or updates from the Website.
Disclosure Of Personal Information. Sirius may also share Personal Information with third parties to accomplish the purposes described herein. The types of third parties with whom Sirius might share elements of Personal Information include: payment processors engaged to store and handle payments and information, such as credit or debit card information; providers of email management and distribution tools; providers of security and fraud prevention tools and services; third party service providers and contractors; providers of data aggregation, marketing, and analytics software services that allow Sirius to effectively monitor and optimize the Website; and providers of management systems to help Sirius track and communicate. Sirius may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information, or to otherwise protect Sirius’ rights. Personal Information may also be disclosed to other parties that you have authorized Sirius to share information with, including for advertising purposes. Personal information is currently stored and processed by providers such as Squarespace and Google Workspace, but Sirius reserves the right to change its providers at any time without prior notice. Providers’ respective websites may contain information regarding their respective practices for storing and processing Personal Information. Sirius does not sell Personal Information to third parties.
Storage Of Personal Information. Sirius uses reasonable security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of Personal Information that may be stored on Sirius’ servers and/or cloud storage. However, you submit Personal Information to and through the Website at your own risk because no computer network or data transmission on the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% safe. Further, Sirius does control the devices, computer or network through which you access the Website or over which you may choose to send Personal Information and therefore cannot prevent potential interceptions or compromises to Personal Information while in transit to the Website. Sirius makes no guarantee as to the security, integrity or confidentiality of any Personal Information transmitted to or from the Website. Sirius will attempt to maintain your Personal Information for Sirius’ records for as long as necessary to accomplish the purposes described in this Policy unless and until you ask us to delete this information. If you request that your Personal Information be deleted, Sirius will retain and use your Personal Information to the extent necessary to respond to your request, to address the purposes for which the information was provided to us, comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your information in accordance with applicable laws), resolve disputes and enforce our legal agreements and policies. We will also retain usage data for internal analysis purposes. Usage data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of the Website, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer periods.
Disabling Cookies. You can set your browser to not accept cookies and can also remove cookies from your browser. Some of the Website features may not function if you disable cookies on the Website. Please note that the Website’s data collection and use practices are not altered when the Website sees a Do Not Track signal from your browser.
Children. The Website is not intended for use by children under 18 years of age. No one under age 18 may provide any information to Sirius through the Website. Sirius does not knowingly collect or use Personal Information from children under 18. If you are under 18, do not access, use or provide any information on the Website or on or through any of its features.
Application Of Policy. This Policy applies only to the Website. Sirius is not responsible for the data collection, privacy practices, or policies of any third-party site to which the Website may provide a link or that may link to the Website. Sirius does not have any control over third-party websites. Information collected from you by others, such as third-party websites that you access through links on the Website, are governed by those entities’ privacy policies. You are encouraged to read the privacy policies and terms of use of other sites. This Policy may be updated from time to time in Sirius’ sole discretion to reflect, for example, changes to Sirius’ practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. The date of the last revision will be indicated by the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Any changes are effective immediately upon publication on the Website. By accessing the Website or otherwise providing Sirius with Personal Information after Sirius makes any changes to this Policy, you are deemed to have accepted such changes. If you do not agree with this Policy, do not access or use the Website or otherwise provide Sirius with your Personal Information. Individuals with disabilities who are unable to usefully access this Policy online may contact Sirius at the contact information listed below to inquire how they can obtain a copy of the Policy in another, more easily readable or accessible format. We will not discriminate against anyone for exercising their privacy rights, including those provided by applicable privacy laws.
International Users. The Website is operated and controlled from the United States and is not intended to subject Sirius to the laws or jurisdiction of any state, country or territory other than those of the United States. Any information you provide through use of the Website may be stored, processed, transferred between, and accessed from the United States and other countries which may not guarantee the same level of protection of Personal Information as the country in which you reside. However, we will handle your personal information in accordance with this Policy regardless of where your Personal Information is stored or accessed.
